About Us: We are in the Custom Harvesting business. Harvesting grain from Texas to Montana and beyond. The 2009 harvesting year will mark the 34th season for Lawrence Harvesting. We started custom harvesting in 1975 with my brother-in-law, Bob Gattis. In 1977, I bought my first combine, a Case IH 1460 and have operated as many as nine combines during one season in the late 1990's. We are currently seeking applications for the 2009 harvest season. Farm experience is a plus. Our business requires our employees to possess a CDL (Commercial Drivers Licence). We can help with that process if you do not have one. See our Employment section for more details. Our Route: Our Harvest route still consists of basically the same trail we began in 1977. The season starts in May when we depart home for south Texas. We then work our way north through Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Then on to Montana and North Dakota. During the fall we harvest corn in western Kansas and soybeans in Oklahoma. The fall harvest usually lasts into the middle or late November. |
